Web Developer

We are currently looking for a talented Web Developer to join our team in Cork. Based in our Ballincollig office, this is a full time, on-site position.

The Web Developer will work within the Marketing team to create, maintain and update a portfolio of websites. They will have well-rounded, full stack knowledge, including scripting languages, management tools, content creation tools, applications, hosting requirements, as well as UI, UX, cross-browser compatibility and web standards. A good working knowledge of WP CMS, ecommerce and digital media integration supported by a current portfolio is preferable.

Working within the marketing team, the Web Developer, will be highly organised and manage multiple projects simultaneously, agreeing with the team, Line Manager and Senior Management on the prioritisation of key deliverables. They will manage and maintain company websites, review and resolve problems uncovered by testing and stakeholder feedback; and evaluate code to ensure adherence to industry standards, and that it is compatible with browsers, devices, and operating systems.

The Web Developer will be solutions focussed and clearly communicate their ideas. They will have the ability to adhere to tight deadlines, apply high quality standards, have excellent attention to detail, follow best practice in the development of a range of digital projects and maintain a robust back-up system.

Experience

  • Third level qualification in computer science, web development or equivalent, preferably to degree level.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ demonstrable web development experience.
  • Knowledge of System Administration.
