PHS Duplex double-sided and self adhesive tape, is ready-to-use polyacrylate adhesive film for bonding VCL membranes to the subsurface such as studs and rafters. It allows for greater airtightness over the alternative of puncturing the membrane with staples and the only option when bonding to steel substrates.

Bonding rough and structured materials.
Bonding and sealing penetrations and AVCL overlaps.
For adhesion to steel substrates.

Application

Application Guide:

PHS Duplex Tape is used for bonding VCL membranes to the substrate i.e. studs, joists and rafters. This allows for greater airtightness over the alternative of puncturing the membrane with staples and the only option when bonding to steel substrates.
Ensure that the PHS Duplex Tape is applied within the temperature range, between -10°C and 40°C, preferably above 5°C.
The tape and/or membrane should not be exposed to any mechanical strain.
Apply the PHS Duplex Tape in the centre and length of the application area (stud, joist etc) Peel away the silicone paper backing when ready to adhere the membrane to the PHS Duplex Tape. Firmly apply the membrane to the PHS Duplex Tape with a cloth or a roller.
