Gerband 970 double-sided tape is a ready-to-use polyacrylate adhesive film. It is used for bonding VCL membranes to the substrate i.e. studs and rafters. It allows for greater airtightness over the alternative of puncturing the membrane with staples and the only option when bonding to steel substrates.

Bonding rough and structured materials.
Bonding and sealing penetrations and AVCL overlaps.
For adhesion to steel substrates.

Application

Application Guide:

Gerband 970 Double Sided tape is used for bonding VCL membranes to the substrate i.e. studs, joists and rafters. This allows for greater airtightness over the alternative of puncturing the membrane with staples and the only option when bonding to steel substrates.
Ensure that the Gerband 970 Double Sided tape is applied within the temperature range, between -10C and 40C, preferably above 5C.
Apply the Gerband 970 Double Sided tape in the centre and length of the application area (stud, joist etc) Peel away the silicone paper backing when ready to adhere the membrane to the Gerband 970 Double Sided tape. Firmly apply the membrane to the Gerband 970 Double Sided tape with a cloth or a roller.
The tape and/or membrane should not be exposed to any mechanical strain
