PHS Astra vapour control membrane enables airtightness and vapour control in roof and wall constructions. It has an optimum fixed vapour resistance level of Sd 10m. This allows for an ideal level of vapour control, by preventing diffusion of internal vapour into the building envelope and prevents a build-up of condensation within the building envelope, which can cause mildew growth and structural damage. The CE sign in accordance with DIN 13984 gives the necessary assurance for the quality of the product.

Application

Installation Guide:
  1. Store in dry rooms from +5°C to +25°C, protected from UV-radiation.
  2. The membrane should be applied perpendicular to the direction of the application surface i.e. studs, rafters and joists.
  3. The membrane should be fixed with staples every 150mm or with PHS Duplex double sided tape.
  4. PHS Argo Plus (Multi-Tape) should be used for bonding barrier overlaps, to seal penetrations and to repair perforations.
  5. For connections to concrete, block or other masonry surface PHS Ottello internal adhesive sealant is recommended.
  6. Ensure there is a 100mm overlap of the membranes and tape with PHS Argo Plus (Multi-Tape).
