Heat Pumps

Heat pumps offer an energy-efficient alternative to furnaces and air conditioners for all climates. Like your refrigerator, heat pumps use electricity to transfer heat from a cool space to a warm space, making the cool space cooler and the warm space warmer.
The heat pump is used only in heating. This can include both space heating and hot water production. Heating with “active cooling”: The heat pump is used in both heating and cooling. Heating with “passive cooling”: The heat pump is used in heating, and bypassed in cooling.
